We encourage you to widely disseminate the materials provided in the kit and motivate people to know their cholesterol numbers, learn what their numbers mean, and learn about ways to lower their cholesterol level and their risk of heart disease. All kit materials -- including tip sheets, feature articles, patient worksheets, and more -- are in the public domain, and may be reformatted, photocopied, and otherwise reproduced in your current or future projects without further permission. * The materials in your Cholesterol Month 2002 Kit incorporate the NCEP's latest cholesterol guidelines, the Third Report of the NCEP Expert Panel on Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Cholesterol in Adults, also known as Adult Treatment Panel III (ATP III), which call for better identification of those at high risk for heart disease and more aggressive cholesterol-lowering treatment. Need help getting started? The kit includes ten great ideas for promoting cholesterol awareness and knowledge. Thank you for using the Cholesterol Month 2002 Kit and supporting National Cholesterol Education Month. Please send us an email at NHLBINetwork@ProspectAssoc.com, to let us know how you use this year's kit, how you liked it, along with suggestions you may have for future cholesterol educational materials. *
