CONFERENCE OVERVIEW: The 15th Great Lakes Cardiovascular Health Conference will provide participants with the most up-to-date information, recommendations, and research in the field of cardiovascular health. Nationally renowned and regionally recognized speakers will address the future of cardiovascular health at this conference which rotates among the Great Lakes states biennially. The conference will be held in two parts: the CLINICAL SYMPOSIUM on Sunday, April 29, which can be attended at no charge; and the FULL CONFERENCE on April 30 and May 1, for an early registration fee of $125. Deadline for early registration is April 13, 2001. |

AGENDA: SUNDAY, APRIL 29 The Clinical Symposium is designed primarily for health clinicians, but all participants are welcome to attend. The Symposium may be attended as a stand-alone program at no cost. MONDAY, APRIL 30 Workshop Session #1 Plenary Session: Update on Stroke: It IS an Emergency M-8: Moving Your Heart Through Herbs Plenary Session: Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease Reception/ Poster Sessions TUESDAY, MAY 1 Walk for Health with John McPhail Workshop Session #3: Closing Plenary: Impacting CVH Through the Mind, Body and Spirit CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS: The conference has been approved for CME and CEU credits by the Michigan State Medical Society: 3.5 hours for April 29; 5.5 hours for April 30; and 4.5 hours for May 1. Ten (10) CHES credits have been approved for April 30 and May 1; 5.5 for April 30; and 4.5 for May 1. CHES credits are not available for the April 29 program.
