Since 1974, observance
of National High Blood Pressure Education Month in
May has launched new high blood pressure prevention and control
activities for the year. The theme of the 2006
Campaign is Mission Possible: Prevent and
Control High Blood Pressure.
Join
the Mission! Many community groups, civic and
faith-based organizations, hospital outreach
programs, public health departments, and
workplaces use May to renew their activities to
prevent and control high blood pressure.
The National
High Blood Pressure Education Month Web site
has been updated in 2006 to be your complete
outreach effort resource. Check out the most
up-to-date information and tools, such as the
electronic Planning Kit, for help in planning
activities in your community with various groups.
Use the activity registry to let everyone know
what you are planning and get ideas from others.
Browse NHLBI’s fact sheets and other publications,
then download and duplicate them, or order printed
copies.
Your actions can help. So
get started today! Visit the National
High Blood Pressure Education Month Web site
