Receive Targeted Information From the NHLBI HIN—Update Your Membership Preferences Today
Because you are a valued member of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Health Information Network (NHLBI HIN), we want to offer you more targeted messages and information that are designed to meet your interests.
To better tailor HIN e-mails to your interests, we need your help. Please take a few minutes today to go online to the NHLBI HIN member profile page at http://hp2010.nhlbihin.net/joinhin/update.asp. After you log in, please complete the questions on occupation, interests, and alternative formats (each includes an option to opt out of providing the requested information). This will update your membership profile, which will allow the NHLBI to send you information that best relates to your areas of interest.
For example, if you indicate that you are interested in women and heart disease, you can expect to receive updates from the NHLBI on The Heart Truth® campaign and National Wear Red Day®. If you are a health professional, your HIN e-mails will include information on patient education materials, research, NHLBI news releases, and clinical guidelines. As a health professional, you also can choose to receive the e-mails targeted to patients and the public, which may help you provide health information to your patients.
If you are a patient, family member, friend of a patient, or the general public, your HIN e-mails will include a variety of health information topics, such as common diseases and conditions, action steps to prevent heart disease and lower risk factors, nutrition and physical activity tips, and announcements of NHLBI health education materials. You also can choose to receive HIN e-mails on topics targeted to health professionals.
Updating your profile is the best way to ensure that you receive HIN e-mails on topics that interest you (and no extra e-mails on topics that don’t).
Please take a moment to log in to the NHLBI HIN member profile page at http://hp2010.nhlbihin.net/joinhin/update.asp and make sure that you are receiving HIN e-mails on what interests you most.
Thank you for your help and cooperation!
