New Weight Management Tool

Aim for a Healthy Weight

The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes temptations to overindulge in high calorie foods. But there is no need to fear holiday weight gain if you know the facts about weight management. NHLBI offers a new tool entitled Aim for a Healthy Weight. This booklet is both an important resource for adults who may already be struggling with weight issues, and also for those who want to maintain a healthy weight.

Aim for a Healthy Weight Patient Booklet

Learn the concept of "energy balance", body mass index or BMI, and why maintaining a healthy weight is important. The booklet provides practical, easy-to-use information on healthy eating and physical activity, setting weight loss goals, and rewarding success. Get a handle on portion distortion, sample delicious reduced calorie menus, and try the tips on dining out.
