Attention PalmOS Handheld Device UsersAnother free Palm OS medical reference program is now available from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.The COPD Guidelines Tool allows health professionals with Palm OS devices quick and easy point-of-care access to guidelines on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) diagnosis, management, and prevention, as developed by the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) in collaboration with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
The GOLD COPD Guidelines tool for Palm OS is intended as a point-of-care reference to the Pocket Guide. Clinicians should be thoroughly familiar with this document and with the full GOLD Executive Summary Report before using this reference tool in patient care.
