New "Act in Time to Heart Attack Signs" Tools for Use in the
Latino Community
A new bilingual (English and Spanish) community
education toolkit is now available on how to "Act in Time to
Heart Attack Signs." It has been especially designed for use in
Latino communities.
The kit includes:
- A 13-minute video (in Spanish) featuring true stories of heart
attack survivors.
- A complete outline of a one-hour discussion session (in
English and Spanish) on heart attack symptoms and survival steps,
in the style of the "Su Corazón Su
Vida" promotores (lay health workers) manual.
- A set of full-page drawings of the heart and arteries for use
as visual aids.
- Two easy-to-read one-page reproducible handouts (one in
English and one in Spanish) with key take-home messages.
All of the above is available for the low
cost of $7.50 each ($6.00 each additional kit)
